Review: FIVE TOTAL STRANGERS
Happy Monday! Today, I want to talk about a book I finished reading right at the end of December. FIVE TOTAL STRANGERS by Natalie D. Richards was a suspenseful Christmas-time thriller, and was my last read of 2020. We follow the 18-year old protagonist, Mira, as she struggles to get home to her mother in … Continue reading Review: FIVE TOTAL STRANGERS

Monsters, Mystery and Meditation: January TBR
Happy New Year! New years are all about setting goals for me. I am an extremely goal oriented person, and although I may have faltered on a lot of my goals in 2020 (but who can blame me, really?) I’m optimistic about 2021. One goal I did accomplish last year, though, was my reading goal. … Continue reading Monsters, Mystery and Meditation: January TBR
Review: MEXICAN GOTHIC
Happy Sunday! *Cue the “Guess Who’s Back” verse in that one Eminem song* Yes, yes, I know it’s been a while. October was crazy busy—I moved, got married, started job hunting—I haven’t had time to read, let alone come up with and then produce content for this blog. It’s been a crazy month. But I’m … Continue reading Review: MEXICAN GOTHIC
September Wrap Up
Hello, hello! Happy Wednesday! I’ve been MIA for a few days while I was in RI finishing up some wedding prep and grabbing the last of my things before we move tomorrow (eek). I’d planned to post some book reviews while I was away but, shocking to absolutely no one, I didn’t have time to … Continue reading September Wrap Up
Review: MALORIE
BIRD BOX was frightening in a way that kept me on the edge of my seat from page one to the end. MALORIE, on the other hand, didn’t have that same level of suspense, of creepiness.
Review: BURN OUR BODIES DOWN
This book masterfully incorporates biology and frightening body horror into Margot’s coming of age story. The twist hits you like a gut punch. Those last five or so chapters will haunt me for weeks to come, I’m sure.
Review: TRISTAN STRONG PUNCHES A HOLE IN THE SKY
I would lay down my life for Gum Baby, no questions asked.
Review: GIRL, WASH YOUR FACE
Happy Sunday! The weather is insanely hot in my town this week and I have been melting, instead of reading. I know, I know, I run a blog that’s primarily centered on books so I should really be on top of this sort of thing, right? Wrong. It’s hot. All I can focus on is … Continue reading Review: GIRL, WASH YOUR FACE
