Review: IN THE SHADOW OF VESUVIUS: Lady Emily #14
Happy Sunday! I hope everyone celebrating had a great 4th yesterday! Personally, I never do much for the holiday. My family does a cookout and I’ll watch the fireworks show my city puts on, but that’s about it. I just enjoy having a day to relax, which is exactly what I tried to do. I … Continue reading Review: IN THE SHADOW OF VESUVIUS: Lady Emily #14
Review: THE SONG OF ACHILLES
We experience Patroclus' entire life with him, every high and every low, and we feel for him. The ending made me cry because it was such a powerful culmination of all those things—all those hopes and dreams and wants and fears, all brought together at the end of his life.
Review: UNEASY LIES THE CROWN (Lady Emily #13)
Today I’m continuing my Lady Emily review series with the thirteenth book in the series, UNEASY LIES THE CROWN.
Review: AMID THE WINTER’S SNOW (Lady Emily #12.5)
Happy Sunday friends! It’s the last day of May, and I frankly cannot believe how fast this month went by. I was sure we would have another insanely long month like January and March were, but thankfully May passed at a reasonable pace. Hello, hello! I am back, after another accidental hiatus. Things have been crazy, what with everything going on in the world. I spent the last half of March in Maryland before returning to Rhode Island, where I had to quarantine for two weeks. From there on out, I've just been trying to get by. I’m … Continue reading Review: THAT SILENT NIGHT: A Lady Emily Christmas Story (Lady Emily #10.5)

Review: BEHIND THE SHATTERED GLASS (Lady Emily #8)
Tasha Alexander’s Lady Emily series is, without a doubt, my favorite book series of my adult life. Lady Emily Hargreaves is a Victorian aristocrat, pushing the boundaries of society as a woman in a world where ladies of means are expected to marry, bear children, and manage their husband’s estate by becoming a notorious investigator … Continue reading Review: BEHIND THE SHATTERED GLASS (Lady Emily #8)
